RE-Design Interior Styling is a Style Makeover that begins with what you already own. I find new ways to use or re-use your existing furnishings & accessories. I call this “shop your home” and you’d be surprised at how a simple de-cluttering, re-organizing, and styling of what you have can create an entirely new look and feel. You may have things hiding in the attic, basement or garage that can be re-purposed to create something extraordinary…and often one-of-a-kind. I provide new eyes to see your spaces and things in a fresh new way. The goal is to style a space with a “curated” look…so your space reflects YOU over a period of time. There’s more to you than what you buy from a showroom or boutique. A carefully curated space will not only reflect your lifestyle, but it will reflect your life, travels, aesthetic, etc.
The images below show an example of a RE-Design Style Makeover client’s basement all-purpose “hang-out” that her now-grown son had used for modeling and gaming. The goal was to create a functional media & game room that paid homage to the many years of family vacations at Martha’s Vineyard. They furnishings were in good condition and had been collected over time…including a few family heirlooms. It was an eclectic mix of styles and materials, but it reflected and honored their story. We first removed all excess clutter and purged items that were no longer of use. We then organized and stored craft/hobby items. I then assessed the remaining furnishings and accessories…then shopped her home for the rest. I reconfigured the room and styled it with the client’s own things. The only new piece that was introduced was a wall-mounted flat screen TV to replace the small existing one.
